Welcome by the Mayor Anny Winther
Rebild Municipality is situated in North Jutland in exceptionally beautiful scenery with Rebild Hills and Rold Forest as major attractions. Via the motorway and train service, connections are excellent to Aalborg Airport and to the rest of Denmark.
Rebild Municipality is attractive for both settlement and business, and local democracy and dialogue with the citizens are important. We would like to be recognized as a municipality in progress with growth in both population and business. Therefore, efficient government and management, and delivering a service of high quality are important to us.
In Rebild Municipality, we have an enterprising business community and a well-developed tourist industry. We also offer good shopping opportunities with a wide range of both everyday commodities and specialist shops.
Cultural diversity is one of the fundamental values in Rebild Municipality, and to the visitor there is a wide range of activities and events. Overnight accommodation covers everything from primitive camping in the forest to five star hotels, and the wide selection of fine North Jutland food produce provides culinary experiences for every taste.
The beautiful landscape comprises forest, open hills, lakes and streams and can be enjoyed on foot, bicycle or canoeing. The scenery in Rebild Municipality is quite exceptional and provides many options for recreation and unforgettable experiences.
Rebild Hills are very special. The area is Denmark’s first national park since 1912 and forms the setting of the Rebild Festival where Danish-Americans celebrate the American Independence Day on the fourth of July every year. Other cultural events are also held here, so Rebild Hills offer unique experiences where culture and nature are combined.
Welcome to Rebild Municipality!
